When I first got on an A340 6 months ago (you could read my flight report here), I thought it was probably the last time I could travel on this not-so-fuel-efficiency bird. But in less a year, I'm actually travelling again on this beautiful, quite and comfortable plane!
Also with an European carrier like Air France who carried me last time on A340, this time German national-carrier Lufthansa are flying me back home from Frankfurt to Montreal. I've heard a lot of good review before and I confirm: it provides an amazing service and comfortable seats!

 LH478 is operated by Lufthansa daily, departing at 1:30pm from Frankfurt and arrive at 3:30pm to Montreal, the flight time is about 7 hours and 30 minutes
Lufthansa operates two flights to Montreal everyday, one from Frankfurt and the other from Munich. Air Canada also operates one daily flight between Montreal and Frankfurt. All other flights are A330-300, makes this this one a little special which is operated with A340-300

 At the morning, we arrive at Frankfurt Central Station (Frankfurt am Main Hauptbahnhof in German)

 Just like other train stations in Germany, Frankfurt Hbh is a very clean, crowded, busy, beautiful, state-of-art station.

 To go to Frankfurt Airport, we have to take the Rhine-Main S-Bahn (Frankfurt commuter train) line S8 or S9, all operated by Deutsche Bahn.
Due to the construction of the Frankfurt city tunnel, the terminus of our S8 train has moved to Frankfurt Hbh, which has also moved its platform from underground to the long distance train platform. The white train on the photo, is the ICE Express going to Cologne.

No question, Frankfurt is the kingdom of Hansa
Here you will find a lot of 747-400 and A330-300, some 747-8 and A340-300, very few A380 and I didn't see any A340-600

One weird thing: After the safety video, the flight attendants completely redid the safety demonstration once again

IT REALLY IS THE BEST EVER!!!
I mean... I could just starring 7 straight hours on this "Flight Info map"!
And it's got a lot of great movies!

Meal prepared by Lufthansa LSG SkyChef: Green salad, bread, Beef with mashed potatoes, cheesecake, chess, milk chocolate and Warsteiner Premium Pilsener
Beef is Austrian style and it tastes great, salad is fresh and Beer is wonderful!

Our Lufthansa is parked next to his sister SWISS (which belongs to Lufthansa Group)

Montreal is still crowded... All luggage belts are operating and all of them are filled with at least 3 flights, made the belt very full

And let's take the 747 again!
No I don't even live close to 747's stops and actually I have never take it in my life.
