[BI] Flight Report CA-AC CAN-PEK-YUL

 On January 19, 2018, I traveled from Canton Baiyun International Airport to Beijing Capital International Airport onboard Air China, then continuing with Air Canada to Toronto Pearson International Airport before arriving home at Montreal International Airport. On this trip, I traveled on board Air China's Boeing 777-300ER Economy class, Air Canada's Boeing 777-300ER premium economy class and Air Canada's A320-200 Economy class preference seat
2018年1月19日,小弟乘坐中國國際航空公司的波音777-300ER航機之經濟艙由廣州白雲國際機場前往北京首都國際機場,再乘坐加拿大航空的波音777-300ER之豪華經濟艙前往多倫多皮爾森國際機場,最後乘坐加拿大航空的A320-200經濟艙特選位前往蒙特利爾特魯多國際機場

 Back in 2015, I flew from Canton to Montreal with a very similar itineary: CAN-PEK with CA economy, PEK-YVR with AC premium economy, and YVR-YUL with AC economy. It was the first time I travelled on the then-brand-new 787! The flight report are here.
小弟曾經在2015年3月乘坐幾乎相同的航線,當時加航剛推出其787航機,於是小弟乘坐國航的777-200(現已退役)前往北京,再乘搭加航787豪華經濟艙前往溫哥華,最後飛抵滿地可。當時的Flight Report在這裡這裡

B-2031 is a 3-class 77W aircraft mainly used for long-haul international flights by CA, therefore it has generous legroom for domestic passengers. It even features IFE and legrest for every economy class passengers. However, CA is rolling out new 2-class high-density (well... high-density=3-4-3 configuration) 392 seaters 77W constructed specifically for domestic flights

 Meal prepared by Beijing Air Catering (member of Maxim's Caterers Limited), and it was stunning delicious!

 And my favourite is the desert: Hakka style red bean tofu pudding!

 I think Beijing is one of the rare mainland China airport that uses COBUS. Let's be honest, COBUS's quality is undisputable.
首都機場應該是中國少數使用COBUS的機場,不得不承認COBUS的質量是無人可比的

 C-FIVS was the aircraft that beared the livery for the Vancouver Olympics. It's only my second time travelling on AC's 77W as the last time was 2014 on Toronto-Hongkong flight, the 777-200LR planned for the flight was experiencing a technical failure so they putted a 77W on my flight... And no surprise, that flight was only 3/4 full
C-FIVS曾經在2010年溫哥華冬奧會前後髤上冬奧特別塗裝。而小弟亦只是第二次乘搭加航的77W,兌上一次已經是2014年在多倫多至香港的航班上。當時原計劃的777-200LR航機臨時遇到機件問題臨時換咗架77W上陣。當然,果部機只有3/4滿。

 The seats are exactly the same as the ones found on 787, only 777 has 2-4-2 congiguration instead of 787's 2-3-2.
座位與787上的完全一樣。唯一區別是787使用2-3-2排列,而777則使用2-4-2排列。

 I was waken up by the smell of breakfast (which means I slept 8 hours and I missed the Air Canada Cup Noddle). And it was the "million years Air Canada breakfast"
當我醒回時,發現不僅錯過中途的加航招牌合味道杯麵,組員已經開始發早餐。而早餐呢,就是加航萬年早餐——奄列。

 As soon as the door was closed, we were told by the captain that the APU is... broken. So we had to start the engine with... a mobile huffer! The crew connected this turbine huffer to one of the engines to start it, then use this engine to start the other one.
當機艙門關上後,機長告訴乘客,機上APU壞了。而需要叫這架移動huffer來啟動其中一具引擎,再用這一具引擎啟動另一具引擎。

 After few trying, captain told us "the huffer we're using is too new and is not powerful enough to start the engine", so we waited another to come. This one is blowing black smoke like a mad man. The engine eventually started to turn with 40 minutes of delay. When I show the photos to my friend at l'École National d'Aérotechnique, his reaction was "WTF"
在幾次嘗試失敗後,機長告訴乘客「因為truffer太新而無力,需要叫另一部舊一點的過來」~ 換來一部舊的,渦輪機一啟動,黑煙直往天衝。最後引擎啟動時已經比預定時間遲了40分鐘
我將張相片比在國家航空工程學校的朋友睇,佢的反應係WTF。。。

 YVR-YUL night flights are always filled with crew members. I was surrounded by 8 airline pilots / flight attendants of Air Canada, Jazz Aviation and Air Transat
與平時一樣,來往YVR-YUL的夜晚航班幾乎是航空公司的機組人員的通勤機。在我的周圍,有8個都是加航、越洋航空同爵士航空的空服員和飛行員

In this trip, I was stunned by the quality of the meal served by two Beijing based air caterers, and Air Canada and Air China's service has always been the same~
在今次行程中,小弟被北京的兩間空廚的出品質素吃驚,而加航和國航兩間載旗航空公司的服務則百年如一日~

But in less a year, I'm actually travelling again on this beautiful, quite and comfortable plane! Also with an European carrier like Air France who carried me last time on A340, this time German national-carrier Lufthansa are flying me back home from Frankfurt to Montreal. I've heard a lot of good review before and I confirm: it provides an amazing service and comfortable seats!  LH478 is operated by Lufthansa daily, departing at 1:30pm from Frankfurt and arrive at 3:30pm to Montreal, the flight time is about 7 hours and 30 minutes Lufthansa operates two flights to Montreal everyday, one from Frankfurt and the other from Munich. Air Canada also operates one daily flight between Montreal and Frankfurt. All other flights are A330-300, makes ...
