[BI] Flight Report CI TPE-CAN

 On December 28, 2017, I traveled on China Airlines's Premium Economy Class on board the brand new Boeing 777-300ER from Taipei Taoyuan Airport to Canton Baiyun Airport. It's my first time travelling on China Airlines and the service was amazingly great!
2017年12月28號,小弟乘搭由中華航空公司運營的波音777-300ER客機的豪華經濟艙由台北桃園國際機場前往廣州白雲國際機場。而中華航空的服務和品質簡就是世界一流!

 Like Hongkong, Taoyuan Airport MRT has the in-town check-in service. Simply finish all the check-in procedures in Taipei Main Station and travel light to the airport!
同香港一樣,桃園機場捷運提供市區預辦登機服務。旅客只需在台北車站辦理登機手續和托運手續即可輕身前往機場!

Because I already did all the check-in at Taipei Main Station, I can proceed directly to the security and immigration. However, the TPE T2 is increadibly busy at this time, I waited nearly 40 minutes in the line for security check...
由於已經在市區辦理登機手續,到達機場後便可以之辦理安檢及出境手續。然而,桃園機場於此時的T2可謂異常繁忙。光是排隊安檢就用去了40分鐘時間

 I was actully very disappointed. When I booked the flight it was showing the flight was to be operated by a B747-400, but a change of aircraft to B777-300ER was made later. It was in fact the first day 77W operating on the Canton route.
小弟今日搭機其實非常失望,當初訂票時系統顯示航班系由747-400執行,可惜後來更改為777-300ER。此日更是77W第一日執行廣州航線。

 The seats are really comfortable, in facts they're almost like Regional Business Class on some airlines

 I personnally prefer hard shell seats, and these ones have great legrooms of 39 inches... They even have legrests (not shown in the photos). Long-haul trips will no longer be a tortures!

 China Airlines not only has my favourite call sigh "Dynasty", it also bears my favourite liveries, especially its hand-paint Chinese plum as well as all these special livery aircrafts which were done with aesthetic taste! I'm actually really upset that in the recent years many iconic liveries are replaced with ugly ones like Cathay Pacific's Hongkong spirit which is replaced by a bowl of bak-choy shark fin soup, Dragonair's dragon replaced by a bowl of blood shark fin and Japan Airlines's Arc of the sun replaced by a bird (OK, Tsurumaru is iconic too but JAL's livery is ugly)
中華航空,不僅有我最喜愛的「中華」在其商號中,更有好聽的「Dynasty」座位無線電呼號,但我最喜歡的還是華航的塗裝——特別是手繪的梅花和有著崇高審美觀的特別塗裝機。反觀今年亞洲區各標誌性的塗裝相繼消失:國泰的香港標誌變成白菜魚翅羹、港龍的香港之龍變成血翅、連日本航空的日本之弓都變成雀仔(儘管鶴丸也是很有代表性,可是現在日航的塗裝真的很難看耶)

 Although the flight was just a little more than 1 hour, CI serves a hot-meal. And I was stunned by the taste and the quality! China Airline's kabayaki rice and potato salad is SO TASTY!! It was the best on board meal I had for so many years!! I was also stunned by the speed of crews serving meals, in only so little time the crews are able to prepare and distribute the meals and drinks than collect them back, they were almost running in the corridor in order to be able to finish the job!
儘管航班只有一個小時多一點,華航也在航班上提供熱餐。小弟對華航空廚的品質和味道再一次驚呆!蒲燒鰻魚飯和薯仔沙律不僅好吃,還採用了高質量的鰻魚!應該是我多年來吃到最好吃的飛機餐之一。然而,更讓我吃驚的是機組員們的速度:僅在這麼短時間內需要準備、派發餐食和飲料,還需要回收。空服員都是跑著做事的!

To conclude, China Airlines really surprised me with their professional and outstanding service as well as the products. It's probably the first time I'm comparing an airline with Japanese carriers and CI is probably not loosing against ANA. "Dynasty" is now my first choice for flights to Taiwan or even North America!
總結來說,中華航空的專業和品質讓小弟吃驚。小弟甚至覺得跟日系航空比得不相上下,而日後華航會成為小弟來往台灣、甚至北美得第一選擇!

But in less a year, I'm actually travelling again on this beautiful, quite and comfortable plane! Also with an European carrier like Air France who carried me last time on A340, this time German national-carrier Lufthansa are flying me back home from Frankfurt to Montreal. I've heard a lot of good review before and I confirm: it provides an amazing service and comfortable seats!  LH478 is operated by Lufthansa daily, departing at 1:30pm from Frankfurt and arrive at 3:30pm to Montreal, the flight time is about 7 hours and 30 minutes Lufthansa operates two flights to Montreal everyday, one from Frankfurt and the other from Munich. Air Canada also operates one daily flight between Montreal and Frankfurt. All other flights are A330-300, makes ...
